Intervention and therapy

I remember a book title, The Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind, or something like that. Whether or not our minds are breaking down, we encounter the breakdown of relationships

  • violence at home - at school - at play and in community -  at work.
  • I have spent the last 25+ years in an institution which I believe is committed to healthy relationships, and the active taking down of walls between people and groups of people. I regret that the church has not always seen fit to do such work.

I will attempt to develop this web site as resource for any interested in knowing what the church is saying, and doing to promote healthy relationships.

What is the impact of violence on the family?

And what can be done about Household Terrorism?

Please check out the links at the right to connect to current work in building healthy relationships by working to stop abusive and violent behaviours between family members, peers and co-workers.

The ''Inside-Out'' approach to personal and interpersonal effectiveness means to start first with self; even more fundamentally, to start with the most inside part of self -- with your paradigms, your character, and your motives. The inside-out approach says that private victories precede public victories, that making and keeping promises to ourselves recedes making and keeping promises to others. It says it is futile to put personality ahead of character, to try to improve relationships with others before improving ourselves. Stephen R. Covey American Speaker, Trainer, Author of ''The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People''
